ACTISORB® PLUS 25 CHARCOAL WITH SILVER WOUND DRESSING

ACTISORB® Plus 25 is an activated charcoal dressing with silver, enclosed in a non-adherent nylon sleeve.

How does it work?

ACTISORB® Plus 25 is different from other charcoal dressings, it has a triple action that not only masks odour but also addresses its cause.

1. Activated charcoal traps odour in the dressing
2. Activated charcoal binds bacteria and toxins that impair the healing process
3. Silver kills the bacteria in the dressing

Antimicrobial action
ACTISORB® Plus 25 is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms associated with wound infection, including antibiotic resistant strains (MRSA and VRE).

Odour and exudate management
By eliminating offensive odours ACTISORB® Plus 25 leads to an improvement in quality of life for the patient and nursing personnel.

As malodour might be accompanied by wound fluids, ACTISORB® Plus 25 is able to manage exudate and helps maintain a moist wound healing environment.

Indications

ACTISORB® Plus 25 is indicated to manage bacterial contamination, infection or odour in a wide range of wounds, including:

• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers deriving from different aetiologies
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Fungating carcinoma
• Traumatic and surgical wounds
